“Going into lockdown was an uncertain time for our business. The number of enquires we were receiving fell off a cliff, several jobs were put on stop by our clients and as a consequence we had to furlough members of the team who had nothing to do at that time.

When we started work with Darkin Architects they were languishing far down in the search results with a nice site that had not focused on performance when it was launched.
There was a lot of content in place but without the kind of research driven targeting that would help the business get found by the right people.
We also began during the outbreak of COVID-19, so David was working with a skeleton staff without much capacity to update a huge amount of things on the website.
When we began work, our first activity was a thorough analysis of the market place and what the audience was searching for.
Once we had this information we set about optimising the site for the right things, alongside an in-depth technical audit to highlight any key issues that would be holding the site back.
After this was in place, we moved our focus to gaining links and coverage on powerful third-party websites that would act as ‘votes of recommendations’ in Google’s eyes and help to push the site higher in its ranking results.
We saw an incredible leap forward in performance as we implemented the changes, with the site launching on to the top half of page 1 for a wide variety of the top terms the target audience was searching for.
